St. James Palace is also home to Prince Charles while he is in London and is where he receives foreign ambassadors in his official capacity. Originally built for Anne Boleyn in 1532, St. James Palace was the official London residence for monarchs until 1837 when Queen Victoria came into power. The palace isn’t open to the public, but tourists love to visit the Chapel Royal where five royal weddings have taken place.
